Democracy is a form of government. The word democracy means rule by the people. Abraham Lincoln described such self-government as government of the people, by the people, for the people. The citizens of a democracy take part in government either directly or indirectly. In a direct, or pure democracy, the people meet in one place to make the laws for their community.
Most Modern democracy is representative democracy. In large communities -cities,states,provinces, or countries- it is impossible for all the people to meet as a group. Instead, they elect certain number of their fellow citizens to represent them in making decisions about laws and other matters that affect the people. An assembly of representatives may be called a council, a legislature, a parliament, or a congress. Government by the people through their freely elected representatives is sometimes called republican government. The democratic way of life recognizes the equality and dignity of all persons regardless of race, religion, sex, or social standing. It holds that everyone is equal in court trials and other legal matters. It provides freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion. Almost all governments claim to be democratic, but many are actually totalitarian. Totalitarian governments have almost complete control over lives of the people.

TENTANG AFFANDI Affandi sendiri adalah kelahiran Cirebon pada 1907. Dia putra dari R. Koesoema, seorang mantri ukur di pabrik gula di Ciledug, Cirebon. Pendidikan formalnya cukup tinggi, mulai dari HIS, MULO hingga AMS di jaman Belanda. Namun, bakat seni lukisnya yang sangat kental mengalahkan disiplin ilmu lain dalam kehidupannya, dan memang menjadikan namanya tenar sama dengan tokoh bidang lainnya. Pada umur 26 tahun, pada 1933, Affandi menikah dengan Maryati, gadis kelahiran Bogor. Affandi dan Maryati dikaruniai seorang putri yang nantinya akan mewarisi bakat ayahnya sebagai pelukis, yaitu Kartika Affandi. Sebelum mulai melukis, Affandi pernah menjadi guru dan pernah juga bekerja sebagai tukang sobek karcis dan pembuat gambar reklame bioskop di salah satu gedung bioskop di Bandung. Pekerjaan ini tidak lama digeluti karena Affandi lebih tertarik pada bidang seni lukis. Mickey Mouse is a cartoon character created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks at The Walt Disney Studio.[3] Mickey is an anthropomorphic mouse and typically wears red shorts, large yellow shoes, and white gloves. He is one of the most recognizable cartoon characters in the world and is the mascot of The Walt Disney Company, the world's largest media conglomerate in terms of annual revenue. Mickey debuted in November 1928 in the animated cartoon Steamboat Willie after initially appearing in a test screening earlier that year. He went on to appear in over 130 films including The Band Concert (1935), Brave Little Tailor (1938), and Fantasia (1940).
